BIOGRAPHY

Performances:

Jason Wolbach, guitarist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist, has been professionally performing music for over thirty years in the Tri-State and surrounding areas. Aside from playing local clubs and well-known venues in multiple formats that have ranged from jazz, singer-songwriter, classical, rock & roll, R&B, and so forth, he has had opportunities to perform in various music festivals. Some of those festivals include the Avenue of the Arts Live Series, Philadelphia Folk Festival, Knight Park Summer Concert Series in NJ., Dewey Beach Music Conference and Festival in DE., The International Dragon Boat Festival in PA., and The Block Island Music Festival in R.I..

 

Bandleader:

Jason is an experienced musical director and multi-instrumentalist that has privately taught guitar, bass, piano, saxophone, voice, and drums. He performs regularly in a jazz format in both duo and combo settings with The Jason Wolbach Group.

Musicals:

He has performed in numerous musicals doubling on various instruments such as different types of guitar, bass, saxophone, mandolin, ukulele, and banjo. In addition to playing and co-directing musicals at various high schools and colleges, he has also performed at venues like The Walnut Street Theatre, The Bucks County Playhouse, and The Player’s Club of Swarthmore. A list of some of the musicals he has been a part of include Mean Girls, Matilda, The Rocky Horror Show, The Bridges of Madison County, In the Heights, The Addams Family, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Rent, National Pastime, 9 to 5, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Grease, Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story, Pippin, Legally Blonde, Footloose, and Once On This Island.

 

 

Education Credentials:

Jason has been professionally teaching music at schools in the Tri-state area for over 25 years. A teacher to all styles and ages, he has helped prepare some of his students for placement into highly respected university music programs. He has received his B.M. from Temple University and his M.M. from The University of the Arts. Jason is also state-certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to teach music in grades K-12.

 

Academic:

Jason is part of the music faculty at Delaware County Community College. He has provided private instruction and music courses at Cabrini University, Wesley College, Manor College, Cumberland County College, Salem Community College, and Westminster Conservatory of Music.
